The gate is the first thing anyone sees.
Driveway gate installation is where a property gets its first impression and its first layer of security. Superior Exterior Fencing builds custom driveway gates in wood, iron and steel, manual or automatic, with keypad, remote or phone-based entry when you want it. Each gate is designed to match the property and the fence line around it.
One of our customers wrote that their new driveway gate was custom designed to their preferences and hands-on managed by the owner. We build our own iron gates in our fabrication shop. That is how we like to work: you tell us how you use the driveway, and the gate follows.

The layout decision comes first.
Two leaves or one
Swing gates open like a door, so they need clear space where the gate travels. A sloped driveway can limit which way they can swing. They suit entries with room and a formal look.
Rolling along the fence
Slide gates travel along the fence line, so they need a clear run beside the opening. They suit tight entries, uphill drives and wide openings.
Decide how it opens
A manual gate is simpler and costs less. An automatic gate adds an operator, power, safety sensors and an access method such as a keypad, remote or phone.
What goes into a driveway gate that works every day.
The gate leaf is the part people see, but the posts, hinges and operator decide whether it works for years. Posts must be set deep enough to carry the weight. Width should fit your widest vehicle or trailer with room to spare. If the gate is automatic, you need to plan how power will reach it and where the safety sensors go so it does not close on a car.
Material sets the look. Wrought iron suits estate entries and matches ornamental fences. Steel is a strong choice for security and long spans. Wood blends with a wood fence and warms up a wood-lined property. On ranch entrances and acreage, a gate often ties into agricultural fencing and needs to handle equipment width.
Price depends on width, material, design detail, and how much automation you add. Our guide to fence installation cost explains the main drivers, and our pricing page shows how we quote. We build gates for homes in Southlake, Westlake, Keller and nearby, and for commercial entries too. Ready to talk? Contact us.
